God is an active God. What He does in the realm of kingdoms and authorities and in the lives of individuals is an active path to a future that brings Him glory. His glory will never tarnish and His truth will never fail though governments and people try to shake themselves from His mighty hands. Do not be tempted to consider Him slow, asleep, or preoccupied. Instead, by faith consider Him timely, awake, and active. He will prevail in His time, on His day.

This is my lesson I am currently working on, not that I consider Him slow, asleep, or preoccupied, just that I am waiting on an answer to a question I have and don’t know what to do while waiting. Thank you for reading and commenting on my blog, God’s love and grace be with you.

You made me think about all the people who waited in the Bible…Noah had to wait for 100 years for the flood while he preached to the people. Abraham knew a son would have to be born to him as a descendent of the promise, but yet Ishmael’s birth showed his impatience and God letting them age out past child birth showed His power. Job had to wait on an answer as to why he was suffering. David had to wait on the throne since Saul was still seated on it even after David had been anointed. Elijah had to wait for the evil king and his wife to be slain – a long time after the fire on the mountain. Wow, the list just keeps on. Maybe we need to see HOW they waited and learn from them. One thing I do know – our waiting is a part of His plan….. ________________________________________
